March goal wrap-up and April debt goal

March 31st, 2014 at 06:42 pm

Well, as mentioned previously, my March workout goal stalled at 13 workouts, so I missed my target of 20. My body was begging me for a week off, so I listened to it. Hope to come back somewhat in April so I don't struggle too badly at the 5k!

I exceeded the March debt goal of $900 with $930 going toward principal.

For April, I'm still setting aside extra money vs. putting it toward student loans until I know something, either about up-in-the-air job considerations or the WV land deal. So I'm shooting for the minimum payments only. Therefore the April debt goal is again to pay off at least $900. If the chips fall the way I think they will, we should be able to pay more, but I'm just not sure how soon anything is going to be definite.

Great job on the debt and a good plan for next month! I think I made my twenty workouts, I'll have to look back at the calendar for the month. I do have to give you credit for bringing it up at the beginning of the month. It did help me plan and once I have a plan I have a pretty good chance of getting it done! Good luck on your April fitness goals.

You've done a phenomenal job as your household's financial manager. I wonder if AS could eek out time to talk to a real estate agent about the value of the flat, the most cost effective updates to add value and what market value rent is appropriate after repairs? Would it be practical for NT to be the on site 'contractor' when the tenant vacates in July? Being an out-of-country landlord in these circumstances is difficult.

Have you decided on the logistics of your planned bathrm reno? It can be difficult to live with 2 tykes and a reno underfoot. What are you giving yourself as a reward for attaining and exceeding so many goals?
