Progress on debt goal!

February 3rd, 2010 at 04:53 pm

Wow, my dad already cashed the check I told him about last week! He doesn't even know how happy that makes me. Smile

That makes $1740 down, $60 to go on the February debt-repayment goal. It also leaves just $3000 that I owe my dad. The original loan was $12,000 in 2003, and I started this year still owing him $6000.

He doesn't know it yet, but I should be able to have him cash all the remaining checks in under two weeks! (I'm holding off telling him until I'm sure nothing catastrophic happens to our budget between now and then.)

That will be a relief on multiple levels--being able to at last cut the purse strings connecting me to my parents, bringing our personal debt down under $10K, and getting to add another epitaph to the Old Debt Graveyard page.

Wow your progress is impresive. I have looked over the numbers & its a lot but could be worse. I have a friend who was a high school principle. She had over 100k in credit card debt & 5 years till retirement. She joined the ponzi I think you called it as I did. She paid off all debt & bought the 4 remaining years of her retirment. She is now debt free & retired.she gets by on her modest 50k monthly income now.Our organization is ranked 2 in Dallas for growth, we are in the inc 500, and have receieved global awards & local. We will tie Googles record growth this year with 1 billion in sales.4 billion total in less than 6 years in biz. As Robert Kiyosaki says those with fear of risk or failure can simply never have true wealth.keep chipping on those debts! Thanks

I don't know, but 3in1, I love that you're now using "ponzi" to refer to your scheme. I hope you never look up what that means! LOL.
