Two more payments hit

U.S. mortgage: $271 toward principal
And my credit card: $228 to principal

$914 down, $1,622 to go on my December goal.

And $38,859 in official CC/personal debt left to go.

BTW, I got an e-mail from the above credit card, reducing my credit limit to just above what I owe on it. Then I saw in the news that more and more credit companies were rescinding credit. Funny! There was a time where if I paid down my credit cards on time or ahead of time, they would keep bumping the credit amount higher and higher. Honestly, I like it better this way.

    The rescinding credit is a sign, the credit card companies will rescind again and again. Time to really pay it down. Think Indiana Jones sliding under the door just as it closes.

    I'm really hoping they can't rescind what I've got, as long as I'm paying the amount they ask each month. Right? Right?!?

    I'm so torn, because I just read the SA guest blog about how having 3-6 months' expenses is much more important right now. Also I want to start saving for a baby. So should I really be paying extra on CCs right now?

    I can't see the future, and I don't want to scare you but think we are in uncharted financial territory here. Probably want to take a look at your credit card terms and conditions. It wouldn't surprise me if the card company can rescind to $0, essentially forcing payment on the debt. I don't think they will, but I wouldn't count on it.
