Summary: Ever since I've had money to contribute to retirement, performance has been dismal. For instance, I contributed over $4K this month but our balances are only up $2K, which means we actually lost $2K in value. Oh well, buying low, buying low. At least I did contribute enough and pay off a bit of debt, so our net worth went up some.
Notes on the numbers above: House value estimates are approximate. I don't have a way to check NT's UK pensions or flat value, so their values stay static for the purpose of this update (unless I happen to get some info by chance). UK asset values and debt amounts are calculated figuring $1.60 for every British pound.
