Thursday (10th) I had to stay a bit late at work. AS had her last day of teaching so she was too. Our second family (our downstairs neighbors) picked the kids up from daycare and cooked us a delicious dinner. I read to the kids before bed, and after they were in bed one of our neighbors came up to watch a Simpsons episode we'd been telling him about.

Friday I had to get the kids from daycare (we are piecemealing this task since it's normally NT's), and then we dropped the kids downstairs with the neighbors so we could go to some friends' house for their traditional holiday party. Right before we left, NT got a terrible cramp in the arm that's affected by his broken collarbone, so he had to stay home with a heating pad and some Icy Hot. AS and I went to the party and stayed way later than we intended to, because we were having so much fun. So we took a cab home. Then she and I stayed up even later watching Youtube videos together. I don't think I got to bed until after 2am! But it was nice to spend so much time with AS (and not have her worrying about teaching her class anymore).
