Big milestone reached last month!

I keep forgetting to blog about this, maybe because it's so nebulous -- but at the same time it's huge!

My early records of my family's debt journey are a bit spotty, as I was still figuring things out. As a result, I have an "official" starting point, but also some older records of some debts where if I extrapolate other bits of more current information, I can kind of come up with a snapshot of the how much debt we paid since earlier than that. (Note that it's not quite accurate because I folded in "estimated future debt" of a trip to NT's sister's wedding and his college education, and in some cases we paid for those things before we took out actual debt for them.)

So as you can see, it's not exactly the most concrete record. But stil! For the purpose of tracking something, I add to those numbers every month after I've wrapped up my monthly debt goal.

So once I added in April's debt repayment, I estimate our total debt paid since July 2007 to be:
$198,989

BUT: Based on other, older notes I found, I think the total payoff since May 2007 has been:
$200,659

Over two hundred grand! Crazy!

    Yep, your kids are going to learn financial responsibility and learn it early, unlike most of their peers. Considering you bought a condo and had a couple of kids along the way, you have done a fantastic job!
