I'm the financial head of a three-adult household. We have great credit and income but massive debt. I've always paid bills on time but beyond that haven't planned very well. Now we have some definite goals, so we need to get serious about financial stability.

Introduction

Greetings! I need to check out some other blogs on this site to figure out the best way to do this, but I thought I should post something just to get started. It's funny, I'm now the third of all three people in my household to have started a blog for the first time this month! Leave it to me to have the most boring and dorky (although not to me, and apparently I've found some like-minded people on this site). I look forward to sharing the minutiae of my financial life with anyone who will listen (or read).

Thanks guys! It's nice to find a site where it's OK to talk about this topic: People (including me) are so embarrassed to confess their troubles or admit to having been stupid. And no one wants to hear about being thrifty in this age of instant gratification! Which all led to where I am today! :-)

ceejay, I'm similar to you in that I never thought of starting a blog until now, and it feels very good as you say to finally vent about this crap I have been fuming over for YEARS! My problem is rooted in this non-discussion since I have a challenge to convince my spouse that we will only make it by getting control of our expenses and I can't do it alone. I have been trying to convince her for years, then lately I just gave up, and guess where that got me? That's right, in enough trouble to FINALLY spur me to do something positive like come here. I'm Ralph, and I have financial problems - love it!
