    You owe very little on the UK house. Have you considered selling it?

    Occasionally...but I kind of like the idea of having a steady stream of income from the rental, and I think selling from the U.S. would be a huge hassle. (If we sell while it's under our current management company, they get a share of the profits -- maybe 10%? -- and I bet the taxes would be high on the sale too.) But maybe, if we decide to do something like buy AS's mom a condo or invest in another piece of real estate here in MN, we could pursue it. It's NT's property so I'd have to make sure he was really on board. And we'd have to have a great plan for the money. The only other thing I could think of to do with it would be pay down our U.S. mortgage.

    Now that the pound is so depressed in value, it's a less attractive option. Maybe if it gets stronger again someday...
