May debt progress

May 1st, 2014 at 09:56 pm

Darn, the interest was applied slightly later than our payment on our UK mortgages, so for a bit I thought we weren't getting charged interest. Ah well. Anyway, all our mortgages hit:

US: $477 to principal
UK1: $284
UK2: $60
UK3: $63

So all told, $790 down, $110 to go on the May repayment goal.

More promising emails about the possible land deal make me think the windfall might come in the next four months! Just in case, we're going to try and accelerate our US renovation plans. We have enough in savings to complete it, so we might as well!

The declutter challenge from last month kind of fizzled halfway through (much like my March workout challenge; whoops!). However, we're in on a family garage sale at the end of May, so that will mean a big declutterfest and a half-empty front hall closet. Yay!

My decluttering fizzled out, too, except that I am in a much better frame of mind about being organized and getting rid of stuff. I find I am doing much better about doing little things on a daily basis.
