I'm the financial head of a three-adult household. We have great credit and income but massive debt. I've always paid bills on time but beyond that haven't planned very well. Now we have some definite goals, so we need to get serious about financial stability.

Payoff-stravaganza!

Hooray! The payment I've been whining about for the past week has finally hit! $2131 went to principal on the UK card, nearly a third of the balance gone. Now I'm going to leave that low-interest puppy alone, to die a slow death on minimum payments while I focus on my higher-interest U.S. debt.

So that makes $3135 down, just $365 to go on my August goal!

And $50,301 to go on my Big-Picture Goal! I'm so close to being under $50K--in about two weeks I'll be there.

I'll have to post a new snapshot of my debt spreadsheet when that happens. Smile

Nice work, ceejay. Very nice. Looks like the slow down from June and July are over. And now, it's full steam ahead!!!

Now I feel I have to play catch up to you.
You've paid off about 20k YTD and a lot less stress!!!

Well merch, I'm not sure if the slowdown is over--the rest of this year might be kind of blah debt-payment-wise. But at least I had one more exciting month! And who knows, maybe I'll have another before the year is out.

Oh yeah, and I did notice I've paid off exactly $19,950 in CC debt!

Ima, you're the image on my financial fridge of what I want to look like someday. Thanks for rooting for me.

I think you and I are pretty similiar in houshold income, total debt, and journey. We seem to be at about the same phase. I have 44k in more house debt, you more in consumer debt. we pay off similiar amounts each month. We hit our hills at about the same time.

Just funny, I guess.
